Brown Rice Spaghetti with Grass-Fed Beef and Rao's Marinara

Ingredients:

  • 2 lbs jovial brown rice spaghetti

  • 1 to 2 lbs grass-fed beef

  • 1 tsp garlic powder (1 tsp per lb meat)

  • 1 tsp onion powder (1 tsp per lb of meat)

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • 1 jar Rao's Marinara sauce (1 jar per lb of meat and pasta)

  • 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan Reggiano cheese (needs to be from cold section of grocery store so it’s fresh)

Instructions:

  • Cook the pasta: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the brown rice spaghetti and cook according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

  • Brown the beef: In a large skillet over medium-high heat, brown the grass-fed beef. Season with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.

  • Add the marinara: Pour the Rao's Marinara sauce into the skillet with the browned beef. Stir to combine and let simmer for a few minutes.

  • Add Parmesan: Stir in the freshly grated Parmesan Reggiano cheese to sauce so it’s well blended with the juices of the meat. This is the secret to my spaghetti being so delicious!

  • Combine with pasta: Add the cooked brown rice spaghetti to the skillet with the beef and marinara sauce. Toss to coat.

  • Serve: Serve immediately and store for leftovers.
